  1. I am always interested at the colours you use. Did you use a back ground colour. Lovely dark values Ulrike and the glass is great! Do you use liquin as a fast drying medium or do you use an acrylic under coat? I have been reading about the health scares on the medium liquin.

  2. I sometimes do an acrylic wash, but not for this one because the background was dark anyway and should be like this.
I bought fast drying medium, an oil that is to use for water soluble oil colour, but I'm not happy with it and therefore I don't use it. What did you read about it?

  3. I didn't realise you were using water soluble oil colours how are you finding them and have you used ordinary oil paints? I used to use the water soluble oil paints but found there would sometimes be areas of the finished painting that was shiny and others that were matt. I heard that this is common problem with the water soluble oil paints. However I tend to cover large areas with a single colour on a large canvas so it is more noticable if some areas of paint are shiny.
Liquin is a fast drying medium that you use with ordinary oil paints but I only learn recently you should use ventilation when using the product. Also did you know about some of the colours in oil paints being toxic so don't eat and paint when using oil paints. I guess you know this already!
