Lonesome Table - Einsamer Tisch

Saturday at a shooping mall: People are more or less running around (if possible in the crowds) with more or less big bags. However, sometimes they feel like a short rest, go to have something to drink or eat. The chairs are pushed from this to that table and suddenly there's one table with no chair left.

Samstag im Shoppingcenter: Die Leute rennen mehr oder weniger herum (wenn das in den Massen möglich ist) mit mehr oder weniger großen Tüten. Jedoch manchmal ist ihnen nach einer kurzen Erholung mit etwas zu trinken oder zu essen. Die Stühle werden herumgeschubst von diesem zu jenem Tisch und plötzlich ist das einer ganz ohne Stuhl übrig.

Morning Notes - Morgennotizen

I began this little excerpt of my morning activities yesterday and I've had a look at it this morning again. The colours have been difficult to chose, but I had to quit some time.

Ich begann diesen kleinen Auszug meiner morgendlichen Aktivitäten gestern und warf heute Morgen noch einmal einen Blick darauf. Die Farbwahl war schwierig, aber irgendwann muss man aufhören.

After teaching I went out for a drink and took some watercolour paper with me. I doodled some things with a pencil that I saw around just to see what comes out when I put them in colour. I took my oils home and gave it a try.

Nach dem Unterricht ging ich hinaus auf ein heißes Getränk und nahm einen Aquarellblock mit. Ich kritzelte einige Dinge um mich herum mit Bleistift, einfach um zu sehen, was dabei herauskommt, wenn sie Farbe bekommen. Ich nahm meine Ölfarben mit nach Hause und versuchte mein Glück.

Blue, so blue - Blau, so blau

These are parts of a bigger painting (70 x 100 cm). I can't decide to go over to oil painting and stick to acrylics instead because I feel more secure. Perhaps oils are more brilliant, but how can this blue become more blue?

Dies sind Teile eines größeren Gemäldes (70 x 100cm). Ich kann mich nicht dazu entschließen auf Ölfarbe umzusteingen und klebe stattdessen an Acryl, weil ich mich sicherer Fühle. Vielleicht sind Ölfarben brillianter, aber wie kann dieses Blau noch blauer werden?

Isn't it obvious where you find that thing? I'm sure you've got an idea already...

Ist es nicht offensichtlich, wo man dieses Ding findet? Ich bin sicher, du hast schon eine Idee...

Ok, the bucket is still flying. I haven't done the rack, yet and the blue thing on the left will become another bucket.

Ok, der Eimer fliegt noch. Ich habe das Gestell noch nicht gemacht, und das blaue Etwas links wird ein weiterer Eimer werden.

Take 2 of the tiny French vase - Winzige französische Vase, die Zweite

Today I had a second look (and work) at the French vase. I had to be careful about not being too exact. Hopefully, I stopped in time.

Heute habe ich mir die französische Vase ein zweites Mal angesehen (und daran gearbeitet). Ich musste vorsichtig sein, nicht zu genau zu sein. Hoffentlich habe ich rechtzeitig gestoppt.

Claudia wanted to see my new small camera and so I fiddeled around and took some photos, also of the just served hot chocolate.

Claudia wollte meine neue kleine Kamera sehen und deshalb handierte ich mit ihr herum und machte einige Fotos, auch von der gerade servierten heißen Schokolade.

Tiny French vase - Winzige französische Vase

A very fast trial on a very small canvas. I bought this tiny pot in the south of France two years ago. I like its form although someone tried mend it once. A part of it is solded on it again. Poor little thing! I had to buy it.

Ein sehr schneller Versuch auf einer sehr kleinen Leinwand. Ich kaufte diesen kleinen Pott vor zwei Jahren im Süden Frankreichs. Ich mag seine Form, obwohl jemand versucht hat, ihn zu reparieren. Ein Teil von ihm ist angelötet worden. Armes kleine Ding! Ich musste es einfach kaufen.
