End of Hope

One more trial to work with my new colours, but can anybody tell me why all paint manufacturers give same names to different colours and make the same colours once transparent and the next makes it opaque?

Ein weiterer Versuch mit meinen neuen Farben zu arbeiten, aber kann mir irgendjemand erklären, warum alle Farbenhersteller unterschiedlichen Farbtönen gleiche Namen und die gleichen Farben einmal transparent und ein anderer sie wiederum deckend macht?

    Ulrike you have captured a dramatic sky in your lovely painting. Which colours are you having problems with? I know some companies can put fillers into the paints which may perhaps give an opaque finish.

    I'm still not sure about the sky. I'll have a second look at it. Don't worry, I've dived into every brand of water soluble oils that is available - in Germany and GB. E.g. sap green is opaque from Lukas and transparent from Winsor& Newton. Is that logical?

    No that isn't logical unless Lukas are adding something other than pure pigment to their paint tube! At least you will be an expert on paint at the end of this course Ulrike!
