Lost Cat - Verlorene Katze

Nearby my studio there live two cats. They are very curious and one of them isn't worried at all and walks through my rooms as they are his or hers. I don't know the cats' names. The other one is a very good jumper - normally, but here it's not sure where to go or hop. This is just a quick rough sketch.

In der Nähe meines Atelier leben zwei Katzen. Sie sind sehr neugierig und eine von ihnen ist überhaupt nicht ängstlich und spaziert durch meine Räume, als wenn es ihre wären. Ich weiß leider ihre Namen nicht. Die andere ist eine gute Springerin - normalerweise, aber hier ist sie sich nicht sicher, wohin sie nun gehen oder hüpfen soll. Dies ist nur eine schnelle rohe Skizze.

Fruit Tea - Früchtetee

I like fruit tea and strangely enough all the people coming to my studio mostly drink fruit tea although I offer other kinds of tea.

Ich mag Früchtetee und seltsamerweise trinken alle Leute, die zu mir ins Atelier kommen, auch Früchtetee, obwohl ich auch andere Teesorten anbiete.

Light Armchair - Lichter Sessel

Yesterday I was alone at my parents' home because they had to do something else. However, I had my acrylics with me, still in a plastic bag O;-). I went through the big garden, but to paint outside was impossible. It was so cold. Just before I starting on a garden painting from a photo I saw this lit armchair.

Gestern war ich allein in meinem Elternhaus, weil meine Lieben anderes vorhatten. Ich hatte jedoch meine Acrylfarben dabei, noch in einer Plastiktüte O;-). Ich ging durch den großen Garten, aber draußen zu malen war unmöglich. Es war zu kalt. Kurz bevor ich ein Gartenbild begann, sprang mir dieser erleuchtete Sessel ins Auge.

As tasty as... - Genauso lecker wie...

all the others on the plate. This is my statement for the one strawberry on the left that I put in front of my balcony door - indoors because it's still chilly outside.

die anderen auf dem Teller. Das ist mein Statement für die eine Erdbeere auf der linken Seite, die ich vor meine Balkontür platzierte - drinnen weil es draußen immer noch ziemlich kalt ist.

No pic today,... - Heute kein Bild,...

...but today I was fed up with all the looking for good panels in Germany and always ending up in the U.S., where you seemingly find everything. So, I went to a DIY and found a nice man there who cut 1m² MDF-Panel into 16 15x15cm panels, 2 30x40cm panels, 2 20x50cm panels and 5 20x20cm panels. He did great and I was happy. Then I went to the nearest art supplier and bought my first gesso that I tried on two of them. I'm curious about the outcome. I bet you'll see it. O:-)

 ... aber heute hatte ich genug von der ganzen Suche nach guten Paneelen in Deutschland und dem ständigen Endpunkt USA, wo man anscheinend alles findet. Deshalb fuhr ich heute zu einem Baumarkt und fand einen netten Herren, der 1m² MDF-Paneel in 16 Platten à 15x15cm, 2 Platten à 30x40cm, 2 Platten à 20x50cm und 5 Platten à 20x20cm sägte. Danach fuhr ich weiter zum nächsten Künstlerbedarf und kaufte mein erste Gesso, das ich anschließend auf den ersten beiden Paneelen ausprobiert habe. Ich bin neugierig auf das, was daraus wird. Ich wette, Sie werden es sehen. O:-)

Remember Fanoe - Erinnere Fanoe

That I do this day although this could be somewhere else on the coast of the North Sea. I'm a kid of the coast and I'd like to go to one of those places when the weather is good enough. What about you? O;-)

Das tue ich, obwohl dies auch irgendwo anders an der Nordseeküste sein könnte. Ich bin ein Kind der Küste und ich möchte gern zu einem dieser Plätze fahren, wenn das Wetter gut genug ist. Wie ist es mit Ihnen? O;-)

New Mugs - Neue Becher

I've bought some new mugs, 4 of them. These are the first two. I couldn't refuse the price although they were made in China. Is there any reasonably priced china that is not made in China and has to be delivered all the way from the far East?


Ich habe neue Becher gekauft, vier Stück. Dies sind die ersten zwei. Ich konnte dem Preis nicht widerstehen, obwohl sie in China gemacht worden sind. Gibt es überhaupt noch Porzellan zu vernünftigen Preisen, das nicht in China gefertigt wurde und den ganzen Weg vom Fernen Osten hierher geliefert werden muss?
