From the Balcony... - Vom Balkon...

This tiny sketch was from the beginning of the summer when the tomato plants showed there first blossoms and even first fruits. It's always a pleasure to see the changes from day to day...

Diese kleine Skizze ist vom Sommerbeginn, als die Tomatenpflanzen ihre ersten Blüten und und sogar schon Früchte zeigten. Es ist immer eine Freude die Veränderungen von Tag zu Tag zu beobachten...

Demo at the Gallery - Malvorführung in der Galerie

I was at the market, bought some pears and peaches, but in the end I looked around on the balcony and found some tiny tomatos and very, very hot chillis.

Ich war auf dem Markt, kaufte einige Birnen und Pfirsiche, aber letzendlich schaute ich mich auf dem Balkon um, fand winzige Tomaten und sehr, sehr scharfe Chillis.

The light situation was quite difficult: from both sides and some spot lights from the ceiling. So, I concentrated on the main source.

Die Lichtsituation war ziemlich schwierig: von beiden Seiten und einige Spots von der Decke. Deshalb konzentriete ich mich auf die Hauptquelle.

Now, the demo is drying in the gallery window (so is the ship scene from the Vegesack port).

Jetzt trocknet das Ergebnis im Galeriefenster (wie auch die Schiffsszene im Vegesacker Haven.).

Tiny Tomato

Today I found one last of those tiny MDF panels and there was still this tiny tomato - part of the many tomatoes there are to pick from the flower boxes on my balcony - in the studio fridge.

Heute fand ich das letzte jener kleinen MDF-Paneele und auch diese kleine Tomate - Teil der vielen Tomaten, die noch aus den Blumenkästen auf dem Balkon zu pflücken sind - befand sich noch im Atelierkühlschrank.

Tomatoes -Tomaten

These so fresh looking tomatoes is a painting I would actually still paint the same way I did years ago. That is unusual for me and I think for other artists, too. What about you? O:-)

Diese so frisch anmutenden Tomaten sind ein Gemälde, das ich tatsächlich immer noch genauso malen würde wie vor Jahren. Das ist ungewöhnlich für mich und ich denke, auch für andere Künstler. Wie ist es bei euch? O:-)
