I'm reading Edgar A. Payne's "Composition of Outdoor Painting". It's a great book to learn with and that's why I'm back to do those tiny drawings again.

Ich lese grade Edgar A. Paynes "Composition of Outdoor Painting". Es ist ein tolles Buch um zu lernen und deshalb bin ich wieder dabei diese kleinen Zeichnungen zu machen.

Course Work: Sigrid's Lemons - Sigrids Zitronen

Sigrid has dealt with lemons (a German proverb for having done a bad deal, but here I take the words as they are). With round things it's always important to use different tones for them. Furthermore, the background was quite a challenge.

Sigrid hat mit Zitronen gehandelt. Bei runden Dingen ist es immer wichtig, die Form mit unterschiedlichen Tonwerten zu erreichen. Außerdem war der Hintergrund eine Herausforderung.

Snow Field - Schneeacker

It's Christmas Eve and in Germany (and under the christmas tree of the British Royal family) there the presents will be opened this evening already. Though there's no snow left over here, I'd love to paint snow at the moment. So, I started with this small work.
I wish my readers some silent and leisurely christmas days O:-)

Es ist Heiligabend und in Deutschland (und unter dem Weihnachtsbaum der britischen Königsfamilie) werden die Geschenke schon an diesem Abend geöffnet. Obwohl hier kein Schnee mehr übrig ist, möchte ich im Moment so gern Schnee malen. Also, habe ich mit dieser kleinen Arbeit begonnen.
Ich wünsche allen meinen Lesern einige ruhige und besinnliche Weihnachtstage O:-)
